About Jeremiah

Jeremiah Lewis is a screenwriter and producer who believes the best stories are about what makes us human in the face of the unthinkable.

As a writer, he specializes in horror that digs deeper than surface scares, crafting dialogue that crackles with subtext and characters whose emotional journeys anchor even the most supernatural circumstances. His writing blends psychological complexity with visceral thrills, often exploring how technology and social issues intersect with our primal fears—a perspective informed by his computer science background and genuine fascination with where innovation meets anxiety.

Jeremiah is interested in multi-genre storytelling, and is available for rewrites and original pitch and treatment work.

The Producer's Journey

Behind the camera, Jeremiah has produced five award-winning short films and the feature 13 Months of Sunshine, learning that great producing means protecting the story's integrity while navigating the thousand practical decisions that can make or break a project. His approach is hands-on but collaborative. Jeremiah believes the best films emerge when creative vision aligns with smart execution.

His Killer Shorts Finalist gothic horror THE RICKETY MAN was transformed from script to award-winning film, debuting at Screamfest 2021 and winning Best Picture at HorrOrigins, among other accolades. The success of that collaboration led naturally to LUCID, a horror feature about lucid dreaming that he's developing with the same creative team—proof that the best partnerships are built on shared vision and mutual respect.

Jeremiah is currently in development producing Jackpot Summer, a Young Adult drama feature he wrote and is producing. Principle photography is expected to begin in late summer 2025.

Current Representation & Development

Jeremiah is currently represented by Range Media Partners and has projects in development with Temple Hill Entertainment. These partnerships reflect his commitment to working with industry professionals who understand that the best genre films balance commercial appeal with meaningful storytelling.

Whether writing solo or collaborating on multi-genre projects, he's drawn to stories that examine how we adapt—or fail to adapt—to rapidly changing social and technological landscapes.

Community & Philosophy

Beyond his own projects, Jeremiah is passionate about fostering a supportive writing community. He regularly motivates fellow writers through daily early morning sessions on X and Bluesky (#5AMWritersClub), believing that creativity thrives when writers support each other. There's something powerful about greeting the dawn with words—it sets the tone for everything that follows.

After years in Los Angeles navigating the industry landscape, he and his wife Emily relocated to upstate New York, where he's rediscovered the inspiration that comes from actual seasons. These days, you'll find him crafting scares and thrills between dog walks.
